The Media Release Guide
The Media Release Guide
Do you often work with photographers, graphic or web designers? Did you know that absent an agreement that just paying them for their service doesn’t ensure that you will be the sole owner of the copyright for the work product?
Did you know that Under U.S. law, copyright in a photograph is the property of the person who presses the shutter on the camera — not the person who owns the camera, and not even the person in the photo. This is why you need an agreement in place!
The main reason why you can’t just copy an agreement from google is that the majority of those agreements don’t outline the information that needs to be added and can actually get you and your business in more trouble. That’s why I created The Media Release Guide which walks you through step by step what is needed in an Independent Contractor/Media Release Agreement and a template that you can copy and paste.
